TfT Travel is honored to be a member of TOFTigers (Travel Operators for Tigers). For those of you who are not familiar with TOFTigers, the organization is a unique international campaign advocating and supporting responsible tourism as a way to save the Tiger, India and Nepal’s wildlife and its wilderness areas. Founded by concerned safari operators in 2005, TOFTigers is a pioneering ‘collective action’ campaign, aimed at all in the nature travel industry including governments, parks, communities, operators and visitors, to advocate, plan, endorse and support better tourism to save tigers and forests across the Indian sub continent.

For those of you now booking a trip with TfT Travel to a national park in India or Nepal we are supportive and advocates of the TOFTigers guidelines and will promote and use the best practice providers known as PUG eco Rated lodges. The TOFTigers PUG eco rating certification has achieved a milestone and gained International recognition as a sustainable tourism kitemark from the UN backed Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). It’s the first of its kind in the world, with its singular focus on South Asia’s nature tourism providers. In essence, all trips booked through TfT Travel to national parks in India and Nepal are guaranteed to be responsible, sustainable and endorse the protection of the wildlife within it!
